Minutes

 

Members Present: Fr. Michael Forge, Jerry Jennings, Maxine Koller, Clint Rain, and James Williams

 

The meeting opened with a reading and a prayer by Fr. Michael at 7:00 p.m., April 23, 2007.

 

The minutes of the March 2007 meeting were read and accepted.  The financial reports were reviewed.  The property taxes paid for 801 N. Frances in the amount of $1405.96 were entered into account 1500, an asset account.  This amount will be transferred to account 5335, Capital Expenditure for 801 N. Frances St. property.

 

One bid was received for the courtyard repair.  The bid was for $2983 from C & N, LP. This repair will be requested after the Festival occurs.

 

The insurance proceeds will be about $1800 from the lightning damage.

 

The seller and the purchaser for the Morris house have signed the contract.  The survey has been taken and the closing is set for May 30, 2007.

Scott McDonnold, parishioner, reviewed parish grounds for security camera locations.

 

The FY 2008 Budget Meeting is scheduled on Wednesday, May 16, 2007, at 6:30 p.m.  The regular monthly Finance Council meeting is scheduled on Tuesday, May 22, 2007, at 7:15 p.m.

 

A RCIA participant contributed $10,000 to St. John the Apostle.  The donation will be used to replace the window in the front entrance of the Church with a stained glass window.

 

The TXU contract was reviewed.  An 18-month contract was signed which will result in 10% savings.

 

A bid of $5316 was received from Premier Services to replace the 10-ton A/C unit, which serves the sanctuary.  The unit is still operational and will be budgeted for FY ’08.

 

Pew cushions in the Old Church have been replaced.
