a.
Post approved Minutes on church website beginning February 19, 2007.
III.
Old Business
a.
Floor Cleaner. Update by Fr.
Forge. Finance Council approved
stripping and waxing the floor in the Parish Hall. Maintenance will be performed as needed instead of monthly. Initial visit will be after Easter in lieu
of Fish Fries and Triduum Masses and Service.
b.
Chair Cleaning report. Update by
Leslie Voorhies. Chair cleaning is in
progress. Should be completed by the
end of the week.
c.
801 N. Frances.
Update by Fr. Forge. Tax exempt
status was approved. Young Women’s
Group is meeting there. Fr. Forge
installed a television.
d.
White House status. Fr.
Forge. Currently waiting on approval
from the bishop.
e.
Parish Festival.
Update by Fr. Forge. Committee
met Friday, February16th. Next meeting
is March 5th.
f.
Debt Retirement Campaign. Second collection for Building Fund will begin the first weekend
in March.
IV.
New Business
a.
Balance Sheet. Council reviewed
current balance sheet. Additional stock
donation of $7,100 was added to the Old Church Account. Everything looks good.
b.
Baby Changing Tables. Fr.
Forge. A parishioner has requested baby
changing tables in the restrooms in the church and parish hall. Council discussed options. Council did not reach consensus on necessity
of changing tables. Knights of Columbus
may be willing to pay for the tables.
Leslie will talk to Danny and Abbie.
c.
Parish
Survey II. Council reviewed the
contents. Overall the Survey was
positive. Council discussed the
possibility for a Cry Room and issues with using the foyer, taking children
outside, babysitting, and parishioners who have to listen to crying
children. Future expansion of the
church building was discussed briefly as well as whether a cry room is liturgically
appropriate.
V.
Misc.
a.
The Parish Hall. The Council
talked about the need of reforming the guidelines for the Parish Hall as a
result of costly damage to the restrooms in the hall following a recent rental. There was concern over the presence of alcohol
at celebrations for minors. The
following recommendations were made by the Council for Kay Bedrick and Fr.
Michael to consider:
i.
$500 deposit for any event with alcohol present
ii.
No alcohol permitted at any celebrations involving
minors (baptisms, birthday parties, quinceaneras, etc.)
iii.
Celebrations involving minors must end by 10:00 PM.
iv.
All functions occurring later that 7:00 PM must
have an officer present in addition to those where alcohol is served.
v.
Officers must follow protocols (TBD).
