Rose Window
Nearly a year in the planning and making, a
new Stain Glass Rose Window was installed at St. John's on November
22, 2005 just in time for the new liturgical year, "The Year of
Grace."
The window's Rayonette Gothic design
(13th century) was conceived by Fr. Michael in collaboration with
the donor family who wish to remain anonymous.
Stain glass artist H. Carl Trimble, III,
was commissioned to aid in the design and produce the final work.
The window contains nearly 400 individual pieces of hand cut and
hammered glass and weighs approximately 250 pounds.
Installation of the window was performed by Terrell Glass and
Mirror, Terrell, Texas.
